Parscoveni – Solar Power Park – 220MW
Project Details
Welcome to an exceptional venture in renewable energy, brought to you by Edma Energy – the Parscoveni Project. This onshore Photovoltaic Plant, majestically situated in the Parscoveni Village of the Olt District, represents a pinnacle of solar energy innovation and capability. The project boasts a substantial permitted capacity ranging from 220 MW c.a. to 300 MW c.c., sprawling across 220 hectares, all consolidated under the single Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) – SC QER GSE SRL. Adding to its remarkable capacity is an additional 45 MW in Energy Storage.
Investment Justifications:
The Parscoveni Project stands out as one of Romania’s most promising onshore Photovoltaic Plants, and here’s why:
- Pioneering Location: After a comprehensive analysis of solar resources and geographic parameters, the site of the Parscoveni Project has been developed and is now celebrated as a prime location for onshore solar development in Romania.
- Uncongested Grid Infrastructure: Unlike the Dobrogea region or the South-West part of Romania, the Parscoveni Village offers a significant amount of available utilization and transportation capacity, resulting in a less congested grid. This not only mitigates the risk of 'shadowing' from adjacent farms but also reduces the potential for an overloaded grid system.
- Impactful Scale and Profile: The project’s substantial size ensures a noticeable positive impact on the local community and economy, generating employment opportunities both in the immediate and long-term future. It stands as a landmark project with the potential to gain high-profile visibility, resonating not just within Romania, but on a global scale.
- Competitive Turnkey Costs: With a cost of EUR 900k per MW installed, the Parscoveni Project aligns with the benchmark of similar solar power projects, offering an attractive and competitive investment opportunity.
Edma Energy's Parscoveni Project Specifics:
- As a significant venture in Romania’s photovoltaic landscape, the Parscoveni Project is poised to set new standards in solar energy production.
- We propose utilizing bifacial solar panels rated at 660 watts per panel, manufactured in Europe, ensuring an excellent balance between price and quality.
- The inclusion of a 45 MW storage plant is designed to optimize the efficiency of power output, utilizing batteries for energy storage during peak production hours and enabling charging from the network during off-peak times at minimal costs.
Parscoveni Project: 220 MW c.a. - 300 MW c.c. + 45 MW Storage
Grid Connection:
- The project plans to connect to the 400 kV Slatina–Turceni line, which includes the establishment of a 400 kV connection station.
- Costs associated with the future 400 kV station will be shared with another solar project under development by the same team.
- A 3.75 ha land purchase, adjacent to the 400 kV line, is planned for the station and Battery Plant construction, following the completion of the Solution Study. This purchase will be conducted jointly with the other project.
- The project is designed to operate without grid reinforcements, encountering only some operational limitations that are not expected to significantly impact the evacuation of produced power.
Edma Energy is proud to present the Parscoveni Project as a stellar investment opportunity, leading the charge towards a sustainable and renewable future. Join us in this exciting venture, and be part of the green energy revolution with Edma Energy.
