Simand - 469MW Photovoltaic Park
Project Details
Edma Energy is proud to announce the a revolutionary 469MWp (420MWac) Photovoltaic (PV) facility, strategically located in Simand commune, Arad county. This monumental project, referred to as "The Energy Power Hub" is engineered to generate substantial electricity and seamlessly integrate it into the Romanian Electricity National Grid (SEN), specifically connecting to the high voltage transmission network (400kV) governed by CNTEE Transelectrica SA.
Spanning across 17 meticulously selected plots, the facility’s landscape is divided into two primary zones, further dissected into 10 specialized PV areas, each capable of producing up to 50MWp. Despite this segmentation, the entire facility symbolizes a single PV powerhouse of approximately 469MWp, harmoniously distributed across the chosen parcels of land.
With the expertise of Tractebel as our technical consultant, the owner is committed to uncovering the most innovative and sustainable concept for the PV plant, ensuring a comprehensive evaluation from both technical and economical perspectives. Our team is poised to navigate through potential challenges, ensuring seamless development and implementation.
This strategic development aligns perfectly with the ongoing expansion of Romania’s energy sector, emphasizing the integration of new, renewable energy production capacities. It stands as a testament to Edma Energy's commitment to propelling Romania towards achieving the ambitious targets set by the Integrated National Energy and Climate Plan for 2021-2030, while steadfastly supporting the nation's energy policies aimed at enriching the renewable energy mix.
The Energy Power Hub promises to deliver a plethora of benefits, including:
- Competitive wholesale electricity prices, benefiting both industrial and household sectors.
- Unmatched flexibility and reliability in production capacity, minimizing intra-hour imbalance costs.
- Assurance of electricity supply during peak demands, supported by the generation profile of the PV plant.
- Integration of cutting-edge technologies to enhance energy generation efficiency and overall plant performance.
In essence, Edma Energy is not just offering a PV Park; we are contributing to a cleaner, greener future, significantly reducing the carbon footprint and replacing outdated, polluting fossil fuel capacities. This project stands as a beacon of Edma Energy's innovation, commitment to sustainability, and unwavering support for Romania’s and the European Union’s energy policies.
With an anticipated implementation period of roughly 30 months post Notice-To-Proceed (NTP), we are ensuring that all administrative, legal, and logistical aspects are meticulously handled beforehand, guaranteeing a smooth transition to cleaner energy, and ushering in a new era of sustainable power generation under the banner of Edma Energy.
